Death to Life (Part 2)

The previous scene represents salvation for Andrius and Caedmon, hence Legacy of the Kings: Salvation. Caedmon takes the Book of the Ancient One (the Bible) and brings it to himself. This is symbolic of non-believers reading or believing Scripture and finding Christ.

Furthermore, baptism is also depicted as the twins are plunged into the water when the dam breaks. After finding Christ, we should be publicly baptized to express our dedication and new life in Jesus.

Finally, the Bible states in Romans 10:9, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” This is illustrated when Andrius and Caedmon say, “I believe”.

The lights and wind are my belief on how salvation could appear in the spiritual realm. This scene was inspired by 2 Corinthians 4:6, Ephesians 5:8, 1 Peter 2:9, and 1 John 1:5. We are transformed from darkness into light, and the Holy Spirit is described as wind (John 3:8). The Symbol of the Kings changes from black to red (death to life) sometime during this moment.

Psalms 146: 1-4 is also depicted in this scene, “(1) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (2) Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, (3) though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. (4) There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.”

Christ has made himself available anytime we call upon Him. Although the earth gave way under Andrius and Caedmon, large rocks fell, waters roared and mountains quaked, they continued to fight. The river was released to feed the towns and cities through the many streams that cover the land. The Lord can do great miracles in our most desperate time of need.

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Psalms 23:4
